Retrieve remittance headers

Learn how to retrieve a paginated, header-level list of vendor payments for an Amazon store and date range using the getRemittanceHeaders operation of the Finance Remittance API.

Learn how to retrieve a header-level list of payments for an Amazon store and date range. Each record represents a payment from Amazon, including the total, method, status, and associated vendor and payee identifiers. Use this list to reconcile your bank statement against Amazon payments or to retrieve invoice-level detail.

Prerequisites

To complete this tutorial, you must have:

Retrieve a list of remittance headers

Call the getRemittanceHeaders operation to retrieve a paginated list of payment summaries. You must specify the marketplaceId parameter. You can also filter by the following parameters:

  • startDate: The earliest payment date to include, in ISO 8601 date-time format. Defaults to 30 days before the request time.
  • endDate: The latest payment date to include, in ISO 8601 date-time format. Defaults to the current date-time.
  • nextToken: A pagination token from a prior response. Use it to retrieve the next page of results.

If you omit both startDate and endDate, the operation returns payments for the default time window of the 30 days before the request time up to the current date-time.

The following example retrieves payments for the Amazon US store:

GET /finances/remittances/2026-03-17/remittances
  ?marketplaceId=ATVPDKIKX0DER
  &startDate=2026-01-01T00:00:00Z
  &endDate=2026-01-31T23:59:59Z
Host: sellingpartnerapi-na.amazon.com
x-amz-access-token: {access_token}

The response includes an array of remittance summaries. Each summary contains the following key fields:

  • uniquePaymentId
  • paymentNumber
  • paymentDate
  • paymentAmount
  • paymentMethod
  • remittanceStatus
  • relatedIdentifiers (such as VENDOR_CODE and PAYEE_CODE)

The response also includes totalCount, the total number of remittances across all pages, and totalPages, the total number of pages in the response.

Note the uniquePaymentId for any payment you want to inspect in detail. Pass it to the getRemittance operation to retrieve the invoice-level line items. For a description of every field, refer to the getRemittanceHeaders reference.

📘

Note

The date range between startDate and endDate cannot exceed 90 days per request. To retrieve more than 90 days of history, make multiple requests with non-overlapping date ranges. Remittance data is available from 1 January 2024 onward.

Retrieve additional pages

If the response includes a nextToken, more results are available. Pass the token as the nextToken parameter on your next request, keeping the other parameters the same, and repeat until the response no longer includes a nextToken:

GET /finances/remittances/2026-03-17/remittances
  ?marketplaceId=ATVPDKIKX0DER
  &startDate=2026-01-01T00:00:00Z
  &endDate=2026-01-31T23:59:59Z
  &nextToken=seed-token-abc123
Host: sellingpartnerapi-na.amazon.com
